Barry, Taylor & Levesque Announces the Addition of Two Attorneys to the Firm

Attorney Brendon P. Levesque, who joins the firm as Of Counsel, possesses extensive experience handling civil litigation matters in Connecticut’s state and federal trial courts. He represents clients in civil, family, and criminal appeals before the Connecticut Appellate Courts and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and regularly represents companies, insurers, and individuals in trial matters ranging from personal injury to product liability.

Attorney Levesque represents candidates for bar admission before the Bar Examining Committee. He counsels clients on compliance with the State of Connecticut Code of Ethics, and represents clients regarding complaints, investigations, and evaluations by the Office of State Ethics and before the Citizen’s Ethics Advisory Board. Attorney Levesque regularly presents seminars on risk management and ethics to law firms. He also consults with trial counsel in matters where there is a likelihood of an appeal and represents attorneys before grievance panels, in public hearings before the Statewide Grievance Committee, and in presentments and appeals.

Attorney Levesque received his B.S. from Saint Michael’s College and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. He has co-taught Appellate Advocacy at the University of Connecticut School of Law since 2013 and is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and New York.

Attorney Michael S. Taylor, who joins the firm as Of Counsel, handles all aspects of appellate civil litigation in the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts, and in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. His appellate litigation has encompassed a broad range of topics, including constitutional law, contract disputes, land use and eminent domain, insurance coverage and bad faith, criminal law, products liability and torts, dissolution of marriage, child custody and parental rights, and corporate law.

Attorney Taylor also regularly counsels clients at the trial stage regarding the identification and preservation of issues for appeal and has managed large and complex civil litigation and insurance coverage disputes at the trial and appellate levels involving, among other things, free speech and constitutional claims, civil assault claims, CGL coverage, construction defects, products liability, automobile liability, D&O and E&O coverages, homeowners’ liability and bad faith claims.

Attorney Taylor is a 1986 graduate of Manchester High School. He received his B.A. in history, cum laude, from the University of Connecticut and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
